I’ve been playing this series since it came out in 2001 on The Nintendo Gamecube. I really can’t believe the last game, New Leaf came out like eight years ago. But since there’s a new Nintendo system, eventually a new Animal Crossing is soon to follow.

For such an innovative game the original was, sequels have struggled to stay fresh. So this one has you making a new island in the middle of nowhere.

Your island/town is definitely less populous compared to last games. I only have two neighbors so far.

And your first house isn’t even a house, it’s a tent.

Your island will have an airport, which can take you to some random island or you can play with friends. I wish I could visit other islands when other friends are asleep. It’s very inconvenient to try to find somebody playing at the same time.

It didn’t take me long to get attacked by bees.

I forgot how much I enjoyed the simplest things like fishing.

On one hand, New Horizons feels a lot like the other games. But on the other hand, I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. So we’ll see how much I enjoy it later on.
