Hokushin was a decent character during the last saga of the show.

He was Raizen’s greatest servant, and he did quite a bit of work advising and training Yusuke Urameshi for the events to come.

He also enters the Demon World Tournament. And he lost badly.

But he was very proud of Yusuke by the end of it. Very touching.
