Making his return from Super Mario Bros. 3, Iggy Koopa is the first major boss in Super Mario World.

His boss fight was pretty unique, rare for a first battle in any video game. You have to fight him while avoiding the lava.

But you win when you see Iggy Koopa fall into his lava pool.

With his defeat you destroy his castle and save the Yoshi egg.
