Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (TV Series) Part 3 Review

chilling adventures of Sabrina Part 3 poster Netflix

Last year I watched Netflix’s first two parts of the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. A very dark twist on the Sabrina the Teenage witch comic/show. With Part 3 out about a month ago, I decided it was time to see Part 3 and see where the story leads us now.

Lilith as the queen of hell chilling adventures of Sabrina Michelle Gomez

Taking place not long after Part 2, Lilith is now the Queen of Hell. Instead of keeping Nick Scratch asleep forever, he’s more of her pet. But those who rank below her in hell are not happy with the disappearance of Lucifer Morningstar and her usurpation of the throne of hell. They want their old leader back or a better one to replace him.

Sabrina isn’t too happy either. She really wants to save Nick from his bond with Satan himself, but she doesn’t really know how to do it. She takes a bold move and reaches hell, which makes Lilith angry since they made an alliance and she broke it. But Lilith will be the last of her problems I’m afraid.

Father Blackwood hiding in New Orleans Louisiana chilling adventures of Sabrina Richard Coyle

For others are against Sabrina. Such as her father Lucifer, who wants to break free of his prison and strike his revenge on all those who betrayed him. Then there’s Father Blackwood who without much hope or joy in his world anymore, is seeking his own evil scheme to unfold. And then we have a new group of pagans who apparently pre-date the false-god and the Church of Night.

Overall Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Part 3 is certainly the weakest of them all so far. While it is half a season like the first two parts, it does feel like a complete story so there isn’t much of a cliff-hanger per se. The ending was a bit of a mess and I rather fear for the series’ future. But I remain optimistic and I hope Part 4 proves me incorrect.
