I suppose it was the anime I like Blaine a lot in. But he’s a rather odd one for a near-to-last gym leader in a Pokemon game, but on to that later.

Cinnabar Island’s gym challenge is trivia about pokemon. Get a question wrong, and you face a trainer. I got them wrong on purpose to get some EXP so my pokemon could get stronger.

And eventually you get to fight Blaine himself. Pretty much all of his pokemon are fire-types with nothing really special about them.

And I easily wiped them out with my Blastoise. Like I said, most later bosses in any game are challenging (or more than the first few) but Blaine is too easy. But I’m not complaining, I guess.

With the Volcano badge, there’s only one gym badge left to get.
