One of my favorite items in the game, this one originated from the Mario Kart games. It’s pretty powerful in the racing series, and the same holds true here for Smash Bros.

It’s a throwing item, sort of. It doesn’t land after the first few seconds. But hovers in the air while it hunts its victim.

Unlike Mario Kart, it’s not nearly impossible to dodge the blue shell. If you have a fast and agile fighter, and you’re not trapped by an opponent’s moves or the choas of battle, it’s actually a little easy to avoid it.

But once it hits, you’ll be flying off the stage, most likely.
