While ironically not the last villain in the series, he definitely is the ultimate bad guy of the show. Believe it or not, but he’s the father of Meliodas.
Thousand of years before the series starts, the Demon King and the Supreme Deity kill Meliodas and Elizabeth for falling in love with each other. Then they place curses on them which make them live or reincarnate for many many years of suffering.
He can’t seem to get back to the real world without a vessel. So he does a lot of things behind the scenes in purgatory. His ultimate goal is to get a vessel.
And that happens when Meliodas takes all Ten Commandments inside of his body. Falling right into his father’s trap.
Unfortunately for him, Ban and the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins give him a pretty amazing fight.
When we think he’s gone for good, he takes the body of Zeldris just like he did Meliodas.
Giving the Seven Deadly Sins their greatest challenge ever. Like always, Escanor does not disappoint, but he does sacrifice his life by tapping into life energy to help defeat the Demon King.
I wasn’t a big fan of his last form which is just a bunch of soil from Britannia. Meliodas and the Seven Deadly Sins finish him off for good. Definitely one of the worst fathers in fiction.
