Ludociel is the leader of the Four Archangels. He was a decent protagonist, I liked how he wasn’t really pure or innocent at all. He did pretty brutal things to win the holy war.

Like absolutely obliterate demon prisoners of war in front of the Ten Commandments just to tick them off.

His combat during the original Holy war was impressive yet he ends up pleading for help. His brother Mael is apparently killed by Estarossa of the Ten Commandments and that sparks the goddess race to give up their bodies to seal away the demons.

He arrives in the present-day by taking Princess Margaret as his vessel in exchange for liberating Gilthunder from Vivian. He hasn’t changed much but the loss of Mael has sadden him greatly.

He isn’t so happy that Mael’s grace Sunshine ended up choosing the human Escanor as its host. He also warns the Sin of Pride it would kill him eventually, and it did.

I originally thought his grace Flash was this attack. But no, it just makes him super fast and evasive. I think it was the worst grace of the four.

Hendrickson purges him out of Margaret’s body to save her. He decides to use his original body to fight the rest of the demons.

He’s reunited with Mael who was really cursed into being Estarossa by the original Gowther. But their reunion would be short-lived as he dies from existing so long without a vessel. I thought his death was rather random.
