I was never too much of a fan of this boss in Sonic Mania because it’s not very challenging or exciting. Green Hill Zone is basically a Sonic level for babies, so the bosses usually won’t ever defeat you.

This robot whatever is pretty simple. It moves in a double chain but it’s not hard to defeat or destroy.

Losing to this guy is like getting killed by the first goomba in Super Mario Bros.
