Otto Warmbier was an American who was tortured in prison by North Korea for stealing a poster as a prank inside the country’s only tourist hotel. He was released back to the United States but was practically brain dead and died shortly after returning home, never recovering his consciousness. His parents became outraged when then-president Donald Trump publicly admitted that he believed Kim Jong-un when he said that North Korea was not responsible for his death.
