Link was probably my favorite character to play as in the original Super Smash Bros. And his Ocarina of Time incarnation is my favorite from The Legend of Zelda series too.

He’s a very well-rounded fighter with strong close-quarter attacks and decent projectile moves.

But he isn’t an overpowering character either.

I was glad he stayed mostly the same for the next game the series, which was Melee.
