Mako Tsunami was a friendly antagonist in the Yu-Gi-Oh anime series. Despite his brief appearances, I did like him.

It was kind of funny that he scared Yugi Muto with that fishing spear.

The anime rules for Duel Monsters always changes, and I remember his duel against Yugi had weird terrain issues on it.

For which Mako was very surprised Yugi ended up using that to his advantage and dooming him.

Since Joey Wheeler got to fight virtually everybody Yugi defeated during the Duelist Kingdom competition, Mako is in another one of his duels in Battle City.
