Tristan Taylor may be a nominal character on Yu-Gi-Oh, but he’s one of the most useless major friends of any main character I’ve ever seen.

If I remember right, he wasn’t always friends with Yugi and got in the group because of his mutual connection with Joey Wheeler.

And he manages the tag along with most of their adventures, including the Duelist Kingdom Arc, in which he was not even remotely qualified to be on the island.

Because he is pretty much the most useless duelist I can think of. If he was in Pokemon, he would be Magikarp.
