Shadi had a lot of potential but I thought it was kind of more of a waste of a character.

We see him shortly after the defeat of Pegasus and find out he was actually the one that gave him the Millennium Eye in the first place.

Since Yami Bakura stole the eye from Pegasus, he somehow found out that it was stolen and went to find the thief which caused him to go find Yugi by accident.

The story at least gave us more understanding of the difference between Yugi Muto and Yami Yugi. As the shorter Yugi was a normal kid.

While Yami Yugi was more mysterious and complex. He shows up in later parts of the story but I didn’t stay long enough to watch that. Apparently he was just a ghost, which makes very little sense as he was killed by Bakura but still kind of kept floating around.
