MasterChef Junior is something I have not watched until now. My wife and I needed a new show to binge and I knew she liked the regular MasterChef as we watched bits and pieces of it last year. But I was curious about the junior version, as the regular one is often a bit complex, tough, and unforgiving.

They do a lot of fun things for the kids every week, but I was really surprised how similar it was to the regular MasterChef. These kids aren’t making happy meals, they’re making about the same kind of plates as the adults are, if not the same ones.

It is interesting to see how well television has treated Gordon Ramsay, as he’s been doing this for a quarter of a century now. Joining him on this show is his daughter Tilly. Which I think is kind of sweet that father and daughter can share a show together.

The other two are Aarón Sánchez and Daphne Oz. I had no idea who these two were until now. I was really shocked to learn that Daphne is the daughter of Dr. Oz from television… and from his failed and disgraceful Senate race in Pennsylvania.

I will be honest, I don’t really watch MasterChef for the reason most other people do. Living with ARFID means I couldn’t even remotely try 95% of the meals they make. But I do want to learn more about food in general and this definitely does go over a lot of different kinds of fancy dishes.

While far from my favorite thing to watch on television, I did enjoy watching this season. I may end up watching season 10 (when it eventually comes out) but I’m definitely not addicted enough to watch every single television show Fox wants to hand Gordon Ramsay.
