There’s been speculation that Mega Man 8 was supposed to be a Sega Saturn exclusive. Sony did demand that the PlayStation 1 version had to have something the Sega Saturn version did not. So they came out with a collector’s art book. The second version actually has more in-game content and can fetch high prices because all future releases were based on the PlayStation 1 version. European Gamers also never got the Sega Saturn version.
