Twinmold was the last of the four main bosses I defeated when I played The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask on the Nintendo 64. Twinmold is not my favorite boss in Majora’s Mask, but they’re definitely the most unique.

Now that I think about it, I’m pretty sure this duo was inspired by Twinrova, as these two monsters are twins themselves.

The boss battle is kind of weird because you can use the Giant’s Mask to grow super huge and fight him that way. If I remember correctly, this is actually optional, but I still fought him as giant Link instead of regular Link.

This makes the boss battle ridiculously easy. But Majora’s Mask was one of the most challenging games of my teenage years, so I’ll take an easy shortcut here and there.

Since I never beat the original Nintendo 64 version, finally defeating him on the Nintendo GameCube gave me a huge sense of satisfaction, seeing his demise at last.
