Things I Like: Postman’s Hat (Zelda: Majora’s Mask)

The Postman’s Hat is one of the many masks in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask on the Nintendo 64/3DS, though it’s not really a mask—it’s obviously… a hat. While it’s not particularly useful, I can’t find a particular reason to hate it.

The Postman’s Hat is obviously connected to the Postman that you see in Majora’s Mask, who is exactly like the one we remember seeing in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time as well.

The side quest to get the Postman’s Hat is a bit confusing, but you eventually have to do a few things so his boss will tell him that it’s okay to flee town. He’s very committed to his job if he was willing to get crushed by the moon just to deliver mail.

And once you get this, you have the ability to check mailboxes—which is silly and hilarious, because why wouldn’t Link have this power already with the magic of his own hands and eyes?
