The Mask of Truth is one of the many masks you can find in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. Like some of the others, it actually first appeared in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

If you’re a veteran of that game—as you should be—you’ll know that wearing this mask lets you talk to those strange little gossip stones.

They give various hints and riddles about the game. Though, I’ll be honest: I always use the strategy guide, so the stones have never been much help to me.

However, there was a fun new use for the mask in Majora’s Mask, specifically during the dog race. You could use the Mask of Truth to figure out each dog’s mood.

The Mask of Truth made it much easier to predict which one would win the race. I’m pretty sure you can win without the mask, but using it makes things way easier.
