Things I Like: Captain’s Hat (Zelda: Majora’s Mask)

The Captain’s Hat is one of the many masks you can obtain in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask on the N64. Interestingly, it’s one of those “masks” that’s not really a mask—it’s more of a hat/mask combo.

You get it by defeating Captain Keeta, the greatest of the Stalchildren. If I remember correctly, all you have to do is defeat him in a little battle.

The mask is directly tied to the regular Stalchildren.

Who will treat you as if you are Captain Keeta himself—even though you’re clearly not 10 feet tall.

The benefits? They won’t attack you, and they’ll show a surprising amount of loyalty. While it’s far from the best mask in the game, it’s definitely a useful one in certain situations.
