The Gibdo Mask is one of the many masks you can find in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for the N64. It’s far from my favorite in the game, but it’s actually one of the six masks you need to complete the game.

While I’ve never been a video game completionist, I’d always urge someone to collect every mask in Majora’s Mask—if only for the Fierce Deity Mask alone.

I don’t remember all the details about how to get the Gibdo Mask, but I think it involves helping a guy who was turning into one—or something like that.

Once you wear it, Gibdos see you as one of their own and won’t attack you—same goes for the creepier ReDeads.

Ultimately, it allows Link to talk to Gibdos and access an area you otherwise couldn’t. Not exactly a super cool power, but hey, it is what it is.
