Any game where you hate the main character isn’t exactly going to be a particularly good title in the first place. The Hero of Time isn’t as cool in this one as he was in Ocarina of Time, but at least he looks better than his cameo in Twilight Princess, LOL.

After getting friendzoned by the Zelda of the future, it doesn’t seem like things are going any better with the Zelda of the past either. But I think the real reason he left was to go find Navi—and then you never find her… That pissed me off so bad after finishing Majora’s Mask.

Link does not have an easy time this time around. He’s immediately turned into this weird plant-humanoid thing that can’t do much.

And when you finally become human again, it’s such a liberating feeling—even though you’re still short Link and not full-grown adult Link.

I guess the best part for Link was trying on all the masks. Some are weird, but most of them are actually pretty cool.

I was a little disappointed with the final showdown with Skull Kid. The real battle is fairly quick and honestly, kind of anticlimactic.

But to save this land from a literal local Armageddon, Link fights off a truly demonic monster. And his only reward? Saving a bunch of people he didn’t even know. There’s a reason I still highly prefer Ocarina of Time to Majora’s Mask, LOL.
