King RedEye is one of the most memorable bosses in Star Fox Adventures for the Nintendo GameCube—and easily my favorite battle in the entire game. After all, who could resist an intimidating T-Rex boss?

You face him in a large arena of sorts, with a few scattered places to take cover. This is definitely the closest the game ever comes to feeling like Nintendo’s own take on Jurassic Park.

Fighting him head-on is practically a death sentence; only an Arwing could bring him down with ease.

Instead, you must lure him into traps and catch him at exactly the wrong place at the wrong time—at least for him.

Poor T-Rex. It would have been fantastic if Rare had allowed you to ride him as a friendly companion after his defeat. Sadly, this flawed GameCube title was never exactly a masterclass in planning epic moments.
