Shigeru Murota is one of the later characters technically on the side of good. He becomes a newly powered psychic, and his power is mind reading.

Asato Kido tests that theory out for real and gets his butt kicked.

Yusuke Urameshi gives it a try, and since he is so much more powerful than him, it’s not much of a contest.

He could read his mind all day and never win.

After that embarrassing event for him, they use him to figure out who the next bad person is.

And he’s sniped from afar while doing so. He was actually hit with an eraser, to send a message. So he doesn’t die then.

After absorbing Gourmet’s body/power, Elder Toguro eats him when he’s released from the hospital, to steal his mind reading abilities. What a horrible way to go.
