Chiaotzu is a notable minor character in the original Dragon Ball anime. He definitely had more screen time here than he did in Dragon Ball Z

He was the lesser student of the Crane school, but he was very loyal. Not to his master, but to his colleague Tien Shinhan.

The most notable fight he gets in is against Krillin during the World Martial Arts Tournament, for which I believe he loses. And he get seriously hurt by Mercenary Tao during the last tournament as well.

But his biggest mistake was trying to corrupt the wish of King Piccolo, for which he’s immediately executed. Though Goku and friends wish him back with the Dragon Balls.
