Things I Hate: Dodoria (Dragon Ball Z)

Dodoria in Dragon Ball Z anime Japan Namek Saga

Dodoria is a minor villain in the Dragon Ball Z anime franchise, introduced at the beginning of the Namek Saga. He was initially hinted to be a fearsome foe, but ultimately, he turned out to be more bark than bite. His design wasn’t one of Akira Toriyama’s best. I know a lot of fans—especially as kids—were confused about the guy’s gender.

He and Zarbon were Frieza’s top two most trusted subordinates outside of the Ginyu Force. They accompanied their master during his ruthless search for the Dragon Balls.

When Dodoria gets separated from the group, Vegeta ambushes him. Rather than fight, Dodoria tries to bribe Vegeta with a secret about the destruction of Planet Vegeta in exchange for his life.

Thinking he could get away with the deal, Dodoria takes off.

But Vegeta was way too pissed for any sort of honorable agreement. He easily vaporized Dodoria on the spot—and let’s be honest, nobody who watched the series was ever sad about that. LOL.
