Maron is a somewhat forgettable character in the Dragon Ball Z anime, as she only appears in the show as a filler character and was never part of the original manga. She was created specifically for the Garlic Jr. mini-saga, which is also considered non-canon within the Dragon Ball universe. While she does have some likable traits, she’s really not that impressive overall.

For starters, she looks way too similar to Bulma to stand out as a unique character. And for some reason, she ends up becoming Krillin’s girlfriend—even though he clearly doesn’t have the looks, confidence, or, let’s be honest, the height to typically land a girl like her.

Honestly, it’s kind of Krillin’s fault for falling for someone so shallow. It’s pretty clear it wasn’t her personality or intelligence that drew him in—LOL.

Maron is also a pretty terrible girlfriend. Krillin ends up completely confused and stressed over his feelings for her. Despite landing what many would call a “visual 10,” our bald-headed friend ends up feeling more like a zero.

To make things worse, Maron constantly flirts with other guys and completely ignores Krillin’s feelings. Eventually, she leaves him for some other random dude.

Interestingly, even though Maron was just a filler character and never appeared in the manga, Krillin’s daughter with Android 18 shares the same name. Although in the English dub, they gave her name an extra “R,” spelling it “Marron.” This, of course, led to plenty of fan-made memes of Android 18 questioning Krillin’s choice of baby names—LOL.
