Things I Like: Dai Kaioshin (Dragon Ball Z)

Dai Kaioshin is one of the coolest characters we get to see in Dragon Ball Z, even though he only appears for a brief moment. A flashback character, he perishes long before the events of the present day. Probably even eons before King Cold became the monarch of the universe.

He was essentially the Supreme Kai of everything despite having four Supreme Kais serving beneath him. Instead of teaming up with the other Kais after Kid Buu murders two of them, he waits until the last minute.

He allows Shin to live by stopping the new Majin Buu from killing him with ease.

He makes quick work of the new Buu, tearing him apart into pieces rather easily.

But Buu does not hesitate to absorb Dai Kaioshin before he gets the chance to finish him. Honestly, he should have put up more resistance before losing his entire existence to Buu.

This absorption transforms Buu into the fat Majin Buu. And it is because of this merger that Buu becomes a monster who can actually be tamed and even turn into a hero. Though under the control of dark alien wizards, he spends much of his time killing instead. But the question now with Dragon Ball Super is this: should this have been the death of the God of Destruction before Beerus? So who was it?
