Majin Buu or “Fat Buu” is one of the most notable characters in Dragon Ball Z, as he is obviously the last major antagonist in the series. That is if you count all of his forms as one, which I certainly do not. And the ironic part is that he actually becomes one of the good guys.

So we learn in a later flashback that this form of Majin Buu was not the original, despite Supreme Kai using language that suggested otherwise. He absorbed Dai Kaiô, and with that fusion it managed to tone down the completely evil form of Buu into a happy, frolicsome man-child of a bubblegum demon.

Which was enough for Mr. Satan to convince him to be a good guy. But it only took one moment of him becoming angry to expel the evil within his heart and accidentally spit out an evil version of himself.

And he absolutely lost against him. Majin Buu did not do too well against Goku at Super Saiyan 3, and this fight was an absolute embarrassment for the Fat Buu. So much so that he accidentally turns himself into candy when his candy magic is repelled backward by the wind breath. And when Evil Buu eats him, they become Super Buu. And while he is mostly not in control, the small part that is manages to spare Mr. Satan and Bee from a terrible death.

And I was happy he survived to the very end of the series. Since they use Shenron to erase people’s memories, many people on Earth neither remember that this guy was responsible for murdering the vast majority of the human race. But he never turns evil again and spends a fairly good life in luxury living with Mr. Satan.
