The Seven Deadly Sins (TV Series) Dragon’s Judgment Review

The Seven Deadly Sins dragon's judgment poster Netflix

For the past couple years, I’ve really enjoyed the Seven Deadly Sins anime. Now the wait is finally over for the series’ last season, which landed on Netflix not long ago. This anime is based loosely on the legend of King Arthur and I’m a bit sad to see it go.

Gowther confesses to Mael the Seven Deadly Sins anime

The season takes place not long after the events of the last. Gowther, King, and Diane along with the archangels try to stop a corrupted Estarossa from killing Elizabeth. But only Gowther knows why the second son of the Demon King is acting this way.

Meanwhile Ludociel, Merlin, and Escanor challenge the most powerful demons directly to try to save Meliodas from becoming the next Demon King. Even with the Sin of Pride, the three demons they’re about the face will have more than enough power and skill to match their might.

Ban and meliodas meet Wild the Seven Deadly Sins anime

While everyone is doing this, Ban is trying to find the good side of Meliodas in purgatory. Trying to reunite the two halves won’t be easy. As the Demon King is adamant about keeping the purity of his eldest son in purgatory.

Overall this is one of the best anime series I’ve ever watched. Individual seasons have their ups and downs, but as a whole the story has been absolutely wonderful. This isn’t technically the end for all the characters but it is for the majority of the series that we know now. The ending wasn’t exactly as epic as I hoped, but I was satisfied.

Score: A-
