Kibito is a minor character in the anime Dragon Ball Z. He’s originally hyped up to be a pretty strong guy, but that impression fades quickly, and he just comes off as a bit of a jerk.

The way he and Supreme Kai introduce themselves makes it seem like they’re the new villains of the saga. He even fights Gohan in the first round of the tournament and basically talks him into showing off his Super Saiyan strength. Which was really just a ploy to use Gohan as bait so they could follow Babidi’s minions back to their hideout.

He’s immediately one-shotted by Dabura shortly after all the Z Fighters arrive to spy on the evil alien wizard.

He’s later brought back to life by the Dragon Balls and helps Gohan, though reluctantly, with the Z Sword. Because Gohan was mortal, Kibito showed a lot of prejudice toward him. It actually seems like he and Zamasu would have gotten along quite well. Still, he eventually gains respect for Gohan when Old Kai awakens his hidden powers.

He’s completely flabbergasted when Old Kai tells him about the Potara fusion earrings that all the Kais possess. Following his master’s advice, he removes his earring, and the two fuse together.

Thus, he becomes Kibito Kai. Although this fusion should have theoretically produced a very powerful fighter, Old Kai had no faith in this new union against Buu, making the entire fusion feel like a complete waste of time. Honestly, he also looks a little ridiculous anyway.
